December Honors Grads
You must still complete your Honors thesis according to the guidelines posted here. You can also find all the forms necessary there.
The schedule will be as follows:
Friday, December 16
FINAL date for submitting your complete thesis to all three members of your committee. While this is not the final typed or printed copy, this version should incorporate all revisions your readers have suggested thus far. Schedule oral examination before December 30.
Friday, December 30
FINAL date for submitting results of oral examination. The students will be sent the oral examination form. However, the third reader reports the results of the examination to the Director of the Honors Program.
Friday, January 6
FINAL date to submit the original copy of your thesis, along with an extra copy of the title page and abstract to the Director of the Honors Program. Do not bind anything. See the Honors Thesis Style Sheet (the white sheets) for detailed information concerning the preparation and submission of the thesis.
Many of you are working with a scholar at your current location. We will include this individual as your second reader. You must have a Tulane faculty member in your discipline as your first reader. I will be your third reader. Obviously this means that you will need to submit copies of your thesis via email as either attached Word documents or, if there are special characters, etc., as a PDF.
The oral exam will be scheduled via a teleconference. I will facilitate this (once I figure out the tech! ;-) so when you submit your draft and begin coordinating the exam we will work together to find a time that works best for everyone.
Please complete the forms found at the above link and submit them to me via email. Be sure to include the contact information for your readers (email and phone).
Note Bene: The Administration will make every effort to confer your degrees as soon as possible. This will, however, take longer than usual due to the large volume of work.
